The Potential for Machine Creativity Using N-gram Language Modelling and Randomness

I could not handle manually inserting any more mathematical equations so you're getting this as a PDF instead. This is my HL Mathematics internal assessment (12th grade final project) that did get accepted! I've literally just finished re-reading Hamlet and creating the dream generator in my bedroom, which is the first n-gram project I've done in years, so it was very exciting to go through my archives and realise how relevant this high school paper still is for me. I think computational linguistics is neat! I also think Shakespeare is cool! Also an interesting example of how we viewed language modelling, AI and machine "creativity" ten years ago...
